THE COLLECTION STANDARD is COLLECTION Business Center’s overarching system for the development, operation and quality assurance of professional, premium working environments. The system brings together six dimensions that are relevant to businesses and their staff when using a business centre.
Performance. Quality. Hospitality. Security. Sustainability. Wellbeing.
For each of these dimensions, COLLECTION has developed its own standard or framework. Together, they define the standards by which COLLECTION designs, operates and continuously develops its COLLECTION Business Centers in Germany and Austria.
It is not simply a matter of defining premium quality in terms of architecture, design or a prestigious Business address alone. A professional working environment is created through the interplay of spaces, service, security, quality, sustainability and the needs of the people who work there. THE COLLECTION STANDARD brings these requirements together into a single, integrated system.
What is THE COLLECTION STANDARD?
A premium business centre is not defined solely by its prestigious address, architecture and facilities. What matters most is the interplay between an efficient working environment, reliable quality, personalised service, security, sustainability and wellbeing. THE COLLECTION STANDARD is the system developed by COLLECTION Business Center for professional, premium working environments. It addresses six key questions:
PERFORMANCE
How does the working environment support professional working practices?
QUALITY
How is premium quality defined, monitored and maintained?
HOSPITALITY
How can a professional and personalised workplace experience be ensured?
SECURITY
How are businesses, people and information protected?
SUSTAINABILITY
How can workplaces be run in a responsible and resource-efficient manner?
WELL-BEING
How does the working environment support well-being and the quality of work?
THE COLLECTION STANDARD therefore does not view a business centre solely as office space. What matters is the working environment as a whole and the question of the conditions under which companies can operate professionally.
How do the six COLLECTION Standards work together?
The six dimensions do not exist in isolation from one another. They influence one another. A quiet workplace, for example, can support performance and wellbeing. A professionally prepared conference room combines quality and hospitality. Reliable IT and access processes are part of security, but at the same time influence the quality of the working environment. Sustainable buildings and resource-efficient operations combine sustainability and quality.
Why has COLLECTION developed its own standards for business centers?
Flexible offices and business centres are often compared on the basis of location, square metres, facilities and price. However, these criteria describe only part of the actual working environment. For companies, there are further questions to consider: How well can staff concentrate on their work? How are clients received? What quality controls are in place? How is confidential information protected? How sustainably is the working environment managed? And how do employees experience their workplace? THE COLLECTION STANDARD brings these requirements to light and categorises them into six clearly defined dimensions. This creates a transparent framework against which COLLECTION assesses its own working environments and services.
What distinguishes THE COLLECTION STANDARD from a traditional interior design concept?
A fit-out concept primarily describes what is available in an office. THE COLLECTION STANDARD also considers how a working environment functions, is operated and is experienced. A high-quality desk on its own does not define workplace performance. A prestigious lobby on its own does not create a sense of hospitality. Modern technology alone does not guarantee security. And a high-quality building alone does not ensure sustainable operation. THE COLLECTION STANDARD therefore does not consider individual fit-out features in isolation, but rather how they interact within the overall workplace experience.

Buyer's Guide
How can you tell if a business centre is professional and premium?
When choosing a business centre, companies should not simply compare location, office size and rent. The following questions will help with a more comprehensive assessment:
- Does the working environment support different ways of working?
- Are there defined and verifiable quality standards?
- How are clients and business partners received?
- What security and confidentiality requirements apply?
- How are sustainability and day-to-day operations taken into account?
- What conditions support well-being and quality of work?
- Are staff systematically trained?
- Are there documented quality controls and regular professional development?
The more specifically a provider can answer these questions, the easier it is to assess what the term ‘Premium Business Centre’ actually entails.
