Interview with Mr Siegert (Senior Head of Sales)

05/18/2018 2018 Created by Mike Remmert

In this interview, Mr Janko Siegert, senior head of sales of the collection group, talks about the lean structures of the business center industry and how they can help to ensure the three production factors. He also refers to the role of the comfort factor of every customer in the COLLECTION Business Centers.

Question: Mr Siegert, you are seen as a world-renowned expert on business centers – what are the most important client demands?

Answer: „Clearly, most of our customers are in favor of the simple, lean structures business centers offer. At our Collection Business Centers, you only pay what you need: and that is true for the length of lease terms as well as the actual space used. Flexibility is definitely the clincher. Like most of our clients, we are entrepreneurs ourselves, we have a responsibility to run our business successfully. We know what it takes to be cost-savvy, invest wisely and be budget-conscious. Those aspects unite our thinking with our clients’ strategies – we share common goals, a great source of communal strength.“

Question: Commercial real estate has become a scarce resource in many German cities, construction is lagging and there have been many conversions from commercial to residential property use. How do you view those developments?

Answer: „That’s an exceptionally difficult situation for many middle-sized businesses and start-ups, resulting in a serious threat to economic growth in Germany. I come from a family of business proprietors, attended a school for economics and learned very early: There are three production factors: Ground, labor, capital. With our business centers, we ensure that business owners can secure the most efficient use of their invested capital for ground. If you take this concept to the next step, it becomes clear that the two other production factors are disburdened as well: Budget savings for commercial ground enable the use of thus freed capital for investments, innovation and the hiring of the most qualified work force.“

Question: Strategic terms like „Modern Work Environment“ and „Wellness at Work“ have become important aspects associated with labor science. Isn’t that a tight balancing act if lean structuring is defined as a major goal?

Answer: „Not at all. We have designed our business centers with exclusive furniture and top of the line equipment in order to maintain the five-star-atmosphere which is part of our company philosophy, underscoring our claim of first class standard. Our business centers are located at top addresses in important economic hubs such as Düsseldorf, Stuttgart, Hamburg, Vienna or Frankfurt – and our priority has always been: What are our clients’ wishes and demands? We are constantly monitoring the market, we talk to our customers and as a result we know: Short distances are important, time is important, proximity to public transportation, airports, highways and restaurants is important – and those are just a few examples. Naturally, our clients want to focus on their core business. Our job, among other duties, is to keep their backs free of additional headaches and problems.“
